Daryl retired as a USCG Captain after serving nearly 31 years, is a military Wounded Warrior, and an ICS Type 1 LSC. He has a Certificate in Instructional Design and Masters in Human Resource Management from Marymount University and will finish his Masters in Homeland Security and Disaster Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Aug 2022 with follow-on PhD work. He worked emergency management since 1982 as a lifeguard, EMT tester, and speaker at local, regional, and national search and rescue conferences on water rescue, ice rescue, and spinal cord water extrication.
