Wilma Vinton

Wilma has been involved in rural EMS and instruction of EMTs in Alaska since the early 80’s. She is a paramedic and has taught Alaska Instructor Courses since 2007. She is formerly the Executive Director of the Interior Region EMS Council and volunteers as Assistant Chief of EMS for the Steese Volunteer Fire Department. She also serves on the ACEMS Implementation Task Force for the 2019 Scope of Practice. Assisting communities in their efforts to maintain viable and sustainable EMS systems is a life-long passion.
